Gizel is a Trinidad and Tobago citizen and Attorney. Her academic qualifications include Masters Degrees in Corporate and Commercial Law, Petroleum Law and International MBA (International Marketing Specialization). An attorney for the past 8 years, Gizel has worked throughout the public service in her country and has held positions of Legal Assistant, Legal Adviser and Senior State Counsel, within various government and quasi-government departments in her native Trinidad and Tobago. She served as a Fellow at Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice, Ghana in 2006, and has Commercial and Corporate Law experience from two major International Law firms. Marcia has over 5 years experience in leadership and management. Profile:


Pooja Chatterjee is a student at the Centre for Energy, Petroleum, Mineral Law and Policy, University of Dundee pursuing an LLM in Energy Laws and Policy. She also holds a BBA LLB degree from Symbiosis Law School, Symbiosis International University, India and a diploma in Geopolitics and International Relations. She has experience in legal matters spanning several jurisdictions namely India, UK and the Middle East. She has over two years of corporate law experience in international organisations. Her interests primarily lie in geopolitics of Asia and Russia and research interests include shale gas, carbon capture and storage and decommissioning in offshore fields. She speaks over six languages. Some of her papers are published in the SSRN (Social Science Research Network).

Debo Alonge

Debo holds M.Sc in Energy Finance from CEPMLP University of Dundee and a B.Sc in Economics from the University of Ibadan. He is also a candidate on the CFA programme. Debo started his professional career as a research assistant in University of Ibadan before joining British American Tobacco. He currently works as an investment analyst in Nigeria

Sanusi M. Ohiare
Profile:
Sanusi holds a Bsc in economics from the university of Jos, Nigeria (2007), Msc in energy finance from the prestigious and world-renowned Centre for Energy, Petroleum, Mineral law and Policy (CEPMLP) at the University of Dundee-Scotland (2011), and has currently enrolled for a PhD in the same University. He is a member of the International Association of Energy Economists (IAEE), Nigerian Association of Energy Economists (NAEE), Society for Petroleum Engineers (SPE) among others. His research interests are in rural energy projects financing and investments in developing countries (with a bias on Nigeria), diversification of energy resources, energy security and climate change issues, energy modelling, power generation technologies (Generation, Transmission and Distribution), R & D in emerging technologies, Energy policy and Regulation.

Ondotimi Songi
Profile:
Ondotimi Songi is a legal practitioner with an LL.M in Natural Resources Law and Policy from the Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy (CEPMLP), University of Dundee. He has been involved in legal research and writing at the Centre for African Legal Studies and hopes to become an outstanding academic that teaches, carries out contemporary research and provides excellent consultancy services to support law and policy innovations in the areas of natural resources law and policy, international environmental law and policy, and international human rights law including an interface among these specialisations. His other passion is in the non-profit sector where he has committed considerable resources in working and volunteering especially in areas on NGO management, project development and management, grant proposal writing and fundraising. Ondotimi is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, International Bar Association, Association of International Petroleum Negotiators, Energy Institute, and Society of Petroleum Engineers. He is currently a research student and CEPMLP scholar at the University of Dundee.

John-Peter Amewu
Profile:
John-Peter Amewu is an Energy Policy Analyst with concentration in Energy Management and a strong background in Finance and Cost Engineering. Mr. John-Peter has completed a postgraduate degree in Executive Masters in Business Administration (EMBA) in International Energy Industry Management from the University of Dundee - Scotland. He has graduated from the University of Ghana- Legon with Masters in Business Administration (MBA) with option in Finance. He has also graduated from the Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy (CEPMLP) with Masters in Petroleum Finance and Taxation (LLM) with concentration in World Fiscal Systems, Licensing and Monitoring and Regulation of the Upstream Sector. 


John-Peter is an expert in Energy demand analysis and forecasting, Energy demand management, Economic analysis of energy investment, Electricity supply economics and finally Energy system analysis. He is well informed with Energy Economics – Issues and other areas such as; Downstream Energy Law and Policy, Energy Economics-Tools, International Energy Project Finance and Upstream Licensing in the Petroleum sector. John-Peter has broader Knowledge in the Energy Industry Management and has extensively studied in other areas such as Oil and Gas Contract Matrix, Petroleum Policy and Economics, Minerals and Petroleum Taxation, Revenue Management in the Extractive Industry, Strategy in the Extractive Industry, Fundamentals of International Oil and Gas accounting, International Petroleum Law and Policy and Regulations in the Upstream Sector of the Oil and Gas Industry. His research interest is Licensing, Regulation and Monitoring of the Upstream Petroleum Industry. Other areas of interest to John-Peter are World fiscal System in Oil and Gas sector and Petroleum taxation and Finance in the Oil and Gas Sector. Petroleum Revenue Management is another area of importance to John-Peter. 

John-Peter was very instrumental in the review of the Exploration and Production bill on Oil and Gas in Ghana. He has also provided technical support to the Civil Society Platform on Oil and Gas in Ghana during the review of the Revenue Management Bill which was passed into law in 2011 and has also contributed to the Commission bill which was also passed into law. On the Commission Bill, he was very critical about the role of the independent regulator and also the position GNPC. He has provided a consultancy service to the Public Interest and Accountability Committee (PIAC) which serves as an oversight body over the management of the petroleum revenue in Ghana. He has review the Petroleum revenue allocation, receipts and management over the last year (2011) 

John-Peter Amewu has written several research papers on the Oil and Gas industry in Ghana including the Strategic Management in Extractive Industry to the Center for Energy Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy (CEPMLP) in the University of Dundee in United Kingdom. He has made several presentations on the Oil and Gas sector in Ghana to the Civil Society Platform on Oil and Gas in Ghana as a resource person. He was the Chief Executive Officer for Africa Center for Energy Policy (ACEP). As the CEO of ACEP Mr. John-Peter Amewu served as the resource person on various platforms on Oil and Gas Governance in Ghana. John - Peter is currently the Manager of the Regional Extractives Industry Knowledge Hub in GIMPA. He is also a member of Extractive Specialist in GIMPA

John- Peter is a member of the African Renewable Energy Technology Platform (AFRETEP) which aims at building a network of African research institutions dealing with renewable energy. He has done presentation on the feed-in-tariff in the Renewable sector and has also examined the current Policy and the Renewable Energy bill by the Government of Ghana. As the convener of the summer school on Governance of Extractives, John-Peter Amewu has gained tremendous experience in capacity building and raising of funds for projects. 

John-Peter Amewu is very articulate, a good public speaker.

Jacob Kanyire Dagbeee
Profile:

J.K. Dagbee is an energy professional with expertise in Management & Organisational analysis from the world renowned Centre for Energy, Petroleum Mineral Law and Policy (CEPMLP) University of Dundee, Scotland UK. He is the winner of the Directors medals (CEPMLP) for 2012 and is also a former director of events of Society for Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Dundee Chapter, member of Scottish Oil club and Ghana Oil Club. Jacob is currently a part time lecturer and desires to undertake Ph.D. research in management in the Energy Industry. Profile:

He has a B.Sc. & M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Arizona and the University of Texas at Arlington, USA respectively. He has worked for various firms including Competitive Engineering Inc, Tucson AZ as an Engineering intern, AMEC Paragon, Houston, TX as a Facility Engineer (EIT) and Texas Manufacturing Assistance Center (TMAC), Forth Worth as a Graduate Research Engineer. He currently works at Yinka Folawiyo Petroleum Co Ltd, Operators of OML 113 (Aje Field, the largest hydrocarbon discovery outside the Niger Delta) as a Project Engineer with an emphasis in Oil and Gas facilities. He is a member of Institute for Industrial Engineers, National Society of Black Engineers and Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE).
